Sean Saifa Wall confronts pediatric urologist on ABC News Nightline
In 1993 Sean Saifa Wall was castrated (orchiectomy) at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center (CPMC) in New York City. The attending surgeon was Terry Hensle, a pediatric urologist on staff.
When Saifa requested his medical records at the age of 25, he discovered that his "gonads" were testicles and they were not cancerous, as was told to his mother years prior.
At the end of 2012 he joined the board of Advocates for Informed Choice (AIC), now interACT, and within years became Board President. AIC worked with Jackeline Pou, a producer for ABC News Nightline, who wanted to find someone willing to confront the surgeon who harmed them as a child.
In late 2014, Saifa traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to New Jersey to meet with Terry Hensle at his private practice. The segment was filmed by ABC and anchored by Juju Chang, airing in March 2015.
